All of us are inspired by events, people, nature to name a few. Whatever inspires us regardless of weather it is in our private lives or our professional lives, if we decide to act on our inspirations sooner or later a very powerful act kicks in. Help. None of us succeed in isolation, all of us give and receive help. It is a fundamental collaborative act that allows us to reach our end goals no matter what they might be. Dravet syndrome, previously known as Severe Myoclonic Epilepsy of Infancy (SMEI), is an intractable developmental and epileptic encephalopathy that begins in infancy and proceeds with accumulating morbidity that significantly impacts individuals throughout their lifetime. Dravet syndrome is a rare disease, with an estimated incidence rate of 1:15,700, with the majority of patients carrying a mutation in the sodium channel gene SCN1A [1]. For Circles Network
The Circles Network is a wonderful organisation that supports people with a multitude of disabilities. This is where my son looks forward to going weekdays. They don’t just provide a place to go to, they also provide carers to extend the care into families homes. It is thanks to them that so many disabled people have a wonderful life and something to look forward to every day in a safe, loving, diverse and stimulating environment. They complete complex circles around our children’s lives, and help give them a life. If there ever was a charity that deserves support, here it is.
